The Turtle Inspiration
These are the turtles I grew up with in St. Martin, taken a couple Summers ago at my fathers’ house. I suppose they’re happy there because they would often engage in rampant afternoon orgies - complete with spit, groans and humping … lots and lots of humping … - Here are the pictures that started it all -

Title dissolve reference
I didn’t like those random swirls I had done that dissolved the title away - So I then decided to match everything else and  to use more reference footage to rotoscope over. Here is a still image of the title manipulated by Dave Hale in After Effects for the desired motion. [local title_swirl.mov]

The bat has landed!
