Our family Easter egg tradition:
1. collect red onion peels, white eggs, leaves/flowers and cotton thread
2. boil onion peels ~ 30 mins, meanwhile cover the white eggs with leaves, secured with thread
3. boil eggs about 12 minutes, remove and let cool
4. remove leaves and cotton, wash eggs, et voila! pretty fossil-like designs
